Warm Spiced Baked Apples


Page 249 of the cookbook

4 baking apples, halved through the stem end and cored
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
3 tbsp water
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
2. Place the apples, cut side up, in a 13x9 in baking pan
3. Sprinkle the water in th bottom of the baking dish. Cover the baking dish with foil. Bake the apples until tender when pierced with the tip of a knife, about 25 minutes. Sprinkle the apples evenly with the walnuts.

What I did
single servings:
in each dish:
1 sliced apple
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp water
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
I omitted the nuts.

2 points for each serving.

What a wonderful warm dessert on a cold winters nite! I even added a bit of lite cool whip for 1 point.
